We went to this cathedral that was unlike all the others we'd seen. This guy recovered from tuberculosis and decided to devote his life to thanking God by building this cathedral. He did it majorly all by himself with help from his nephew and a few donations. He's been working on it for decades and is in his 80s. WE MET HIM.
We climbed to the top, and took more pictures of suburbia.
Underneath Emily artistically posing on the ladder, rests my coat and sweater on the ground. These warm outer layers take away from my outfit in pictures, so the entire time we were there, I walked around in my sleeveless turtleneck, even though it was like 50 degrees. The amount of awesome pictures I was getting propelled me through and kept me from feeling the cold.
NEXT LIBO (OUR BUSDRIVER AND SENORA'S LONGTIME FRIEND) TOOK US TO HER HOUSE. WE WERE LITERALLY INSIDE SPANISH SUBURBIA.
Just me, casually IN LOVE with Spanish suburbia !!!!!
Later that afternoon, we went to the HOLY GRAIL of places for a PERFECT photoshoot. It is not an exaggeration to say that I have been excited to take pictures at this art museum and in its gardens for a good two weeks. I purposely packed these pants just to wear them in these gardens. HECK YESS.
Fanta limon, the world's best soft drink.
This picture of Senora Sloderbeck and her husband is ADORABLE.
If my day wasn't already perfect enough by all of these EPIC pictures, it was made even better when my dear friends took me to do one of my favorite things: SHOPPING !!!!!!!!!
I sprinted ahead of everyone to take this quick picture, and lo and behold, Colin McDuffie's modeling career was born. He's already booked a few photoshoots with Style From Suburbia, in which he plans to feature his counterfeit Adidas sneakers purchased in Madrid.
aaahhh what a great day! : )
