We drove/napped through some countryside on the way to Salamanca. This town called Avila had some cool ancient walls and some of my first views of Spanish suburbia!!!
This is one terribly bad bus shot, but the sun was so weird that day that none of my pictures of the walls looked decent.
Of course I had to take an obnoxious selfie because that day I wore my HECK YESSS Maclay Tennis sweatshirt!!!
Jojo ever so nicely crossed the street with me to take this picture, and everyone on the bus laughed at me for my "distant stare."
Salamanca was pretty cool. As soon as we got there I bought a post card book with 20 post cards in it for 3 Euros. That was a pretty awesome deal because I ended up writing 15 of them !!!
Me making sure Colin has the perfect Rick Steves hand-in-pocket pose.
Christina, Colin, and I had ourselves a fun little shoe photoshoot while waiting for everyone to finish looking at 12th century classrooms.
The town itself was cool, and there was lots of fun wall art that we enjoyed while walking to and from lunch.
John obviously didn't want to partake in our album-cover-esque madness...
The best candid ever of our faces when a Spanish boy walks by. HAHA @tina...
Next, we climbed the Cathedral.
But this awesome SUBURBIA in the background though!!!!!
...car naps, they truly are the greatest. (especially when people take pictures of you.) Please be sure to note Emily's feet in the background.
Later that night, we went to the Reina Sofia for modern art. It was heavily crowded, but the Dali's were still pretty nice.
When some rando walks in front of your attempt to take an artsy pic in an art museum...
Aaaahhh... that's much better. We snagged this one just before a guard told me to step away.
