I had stopped wearing this sweater. And the consignment shop wouldn't take it. So why not cut the sleeves off and make it into something new?
And now, what everyone's been waiting for during all these posts..... A picture of my sweet new nude ASOS platforms!!

This jacket. The print is so bold. I cannot wait to take this to my college campus. I feel like people always wear dark colors on college campuses, and I cannot wait to build my wardrobe into a bright, cheerful one that will shine on a cold, cloudy winter day.
Yes. I wore sandals on Thanksgiving. And it was great.
I found myself a beautiful Fossil purse. For my birthday, my mom helped me give it more personality with these awesome tassels!
I matched my grandma's chair. How awesome is that?

AWESOME CHEETAH jacket: City Walk Thrift Store $4
pleather leggings: LOFT (plato's closet) $6

This top, folks, is why we always must look at the LOFT final sale section. It is often hiding in some place where they don't want you to find it. If you hunt through that store, you will eventually find a small rack with some awesome tops, like this one, for $4.88!!!
Also, let's all appreciate the view of my lovely photographer in the reflection of my sunglasses.....
My new shoes had their first outing with this outfit and so did my new sunglasses!

purse: details to come! :)
My grandma got me this nice red sweater from Talbots for my birthday last year. I thought I'd jazz it up with a long necklace because I never wear long necklaces and I'm always looking for ways to branch out of my usual fashion routine and do things differently.
Here are some thrifted Boden pants that I found for four dollars at Goodwill!!! Bowden is a sophisticated yet playful, very stylish British fashion brand based in London. My mom and I have gotten the catalogs and have looked forward to having them come in the mail each season ever since I was a little girl. Boden is very pricey so when I found these pants at the thrift store I knew I had to get them and wear them even though they weren't exactly in my size. Sometimes we thrifters have to make do.
This sweater is just fun and it was five dollars at H&M so how could you really leave it there? I decided to wear ballet flats for the first time in a very long time because I still love the fact that these Chinese laundry ballet flats were only seven dollars at Goodwill and brand-new!!
Here is some evidence of all the fun I was having with the shadows and the fall lighting...
My dad and I went walking around at our farm property today. This is what I wore to commune with the beautiful fall nature colors.
Head on over to the "just my thoughts" portion of this blog to find an article about how much I love communing with nature and being outside. In his work,Nature, Emerson perfectly describes the peaceful serene feelings I get when I'm walking through the woods or through suburbia.
I am proud of this outfit for several different reasons.
First, I never wear scarves anymore, especially small vintage square shaped scarves. I always find them at the thrift store and love their unique color schemes, yet I never managed to incorporate them into my wardrobe. Today I did and I love it.
Next, socks with sandals? Oh heck yes! This is why I love winter in Florida. I will find a way to wear my sandals forever and it will be fantastic.
Finally, culottes. I never wear jeans or pants of the traditional sort because culottes are so different and I am always the only person wearing them. Unfortunately I have yet to find a pair at the thrift store, but these were only five dollars at H&M. In case you were wondering, I definitely still had to answer the question, "aren't your ankles cold?" But whatever....my ankles actually weren't cold but even if they had been, I would totally suffer through it because my love for culottes is so strong.

These pants were way too big when I bought them, but that is what elastic waist bands and drawstrings are for! I felt so powerful in this outfit.
The consignment shop would not take this trenchcoat so I decided to put it on for a photo shoot… And wonders were created…
This shirt is one of my all time faves. I got it at Winston Salem's "mega thrift" store after I toured Wake my sophomore year. Also this necklace is the perfect addition to any fall ensemble.
This morning I woke up early and decided to finally purchase the pair of $25 platform sneakers from asos, my favorite shoe heaven, that I had been eyeing for the past few days…
This is one of falls best OOTD's, for sure.
yes, I am totally aware that most people would not wear something like leather pants and sandals to a fall barbecue but I am embracing my last fall in Florida and I will do that by wearing sandals for as long as humanly possible.
The beautiful vibrance of the shirt makes me so happy. I am tempted to go online and find this shirt in many other colors from Forever 21's website. This shirt is definitely one of my best Goodwill finds!
